Over the past 10 years, Faurecia has provided automotive manufacturers with forward-looking solutions in emissions control technology, lightweight technology, sound performance and energy recovery, and has contributed to reducing pollution emissions.
Air quality has become a major issue in urban life. Regulations continue to increase demand for electrification and new technologies. In this context, the Faurecia Green Motion System (formerly the Faurecia Emission Control Technology System) will focus on three core areas:
Integrate high-tech systems such as energy recovery and real-time data monitoring to create new technologies for more efficient and responsible use of thermal power generation and hybrid vehicles.
Breakthrough innovative technologies for the rapidly growing commercial vehicle market and the global off-highway high horsepower market, including ships and power generation.
With the growth of electric vehicles, the use of professional advantages to develop innovative solutions, mainly focused on lightweight solutions including composite materials and battery thermal management.
The Faurecia Green Smart Wisdom System has been upgrading its expertise to meet increasingly stringent environmental standards and to meet public concerns about ecological issues. A comprehensive range of technical measures has also brought considerable product added value to automakers.
Emissions Control Technology\Foia Green Smart System has established a leading position in the field of Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), which can effectively reduce the NOx emissions of diesel engines. Faurecia's innovative compact SCR BlueBox® technology is now available for the exhaust system of the Ford Transit 2.0-liter model. This technology can reduce engine nitrogen oxide emissions by up to 95% and ensure compliance with the 2017 European 6c standard and the 6d standard to be implemented in 2020.
Energy Recovery: The Exhaust Heat Recovery System (EHRS) developed by the Faurecia Green Motion System is capable of recovering up to 75% of the exhaust heat in the exhaust system to warm or heat the cockpit faster. With the help of the EHRS system, the hybrid car can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 3 grams per kilometer while increasing fuel economy by 7%. Faurecia's compact EHRS system has been used this year in modern loniq hybrid and plug-in hybrids, resulting in an additional 3% reduction in this fuel-efficient model.
