The steel belt corrugated tube, also known as the steel belt reinforced polyethylene spiral corrugated tube, is a wound structure wall tube which is made of a high density polyethylene (pe) as a base (inner and outer layer) and a surface coated with a bonding resin steel strip. The pipe wall structure consists of three layers: the inner layer is a continuous solid wall pe inner tube, and the inner layer tube is wrapped with a circular corrugated steel strip reinforcement (formed "V" type by steel plate), which is reinforced in the corrugated steel strip. The outer layer of polyethylene is compounded to form a unitary spiral bellows.

Firstly, the PE steel belt reinforced bellows has strong resistance to external pressure, and the outer wall adopts a circular corrugated structure, which greatly improves the ring stiffness of the steel pipe, thereby improving the soil load resistance of the steel pipe.

Secondly, under the conditions of equal load, the project cost is low. Only a thin wall is needed to meet the requirements. Therefore, the use of solid wall tubes of the same material specifications can save a lot of raw materials.

The PE steel belt reinforced corrugated pipe is convenient for construction, transportation and connection, and the construction is quick and the maintenance work is simple.

(1) The hot-melt connection is to heat two polyethylene pipes close to the heating tool, melt the flat end face, disassemble the heating tool, and fix the two ends of the melt together under external force to cool.

(2) Wipe the oxide layer of the skin before the hot-melt connection group and remove the dirt on the joint surface and the heating tool. The joint end faces should be machined to ensure that they are perpendicular to the axis of the pipe and in intimate contact with the heating plate.

(3) When a pair of PE steel belt reinforced bellows is reinforced by HDPE steel strip, the pipe ends of the two joints shall respectively extend a certain free length of the clamp to correct the two joints on the same shaft; When the thickness of the pipe is inconsistent, the thicker pipe wall should be thinned, and the insertion depth of the socket should conform to the specification.

(4) In the process of connecting HDPE steel belt reinforced spiral corrugated pipe, the temperature of the material itself should be close to the ambient temperature, and the parameters of the hot melt connection should meet the requirements of the pipe and pipe fitting manufacturer. During the holding time and cooling time, do not move the connector or apply any external force to the connector so that the connector can form a uniform flange to obtain the quality of the weld.

(5) After hot-melt connection, all joints shall be flanged and symmetrical, and no less than 10% of the positive (staggered) joints shall be checked for flanging.

The elastic modulus of steel is nearly 200 times that of polyethylene (the modulus of elasticity of carbon steel is about 190,000 mpa). The combination of metal and plastic is obviously the ideal way to achieve high rigidity and low consumption, and it can make the steel have high rigidity. The high-strength and plastic corrosion resistance, wear resistance and flexibility are combined organically to take advantage of both aspects to compensate for the shortcomings of both sides and achieve high performance and low cost.
